Hello, I'm Elise S.

I am a lawyer and registered trade mark attorney. I have expertise in several areas of law​,​ namely intellectual property​,​ trade marks​,​ privacy​,​ and commercial law. With 14 years of experience as a patents and trade marks administrator and now 7 as a lawyer and trade mark attorney​,​ I have worked with and advised an extensive number of clients. I began my career at a large national IP firm. During my time there​,​ I managed patent​,​ trade mark​,​ and design portfolios for major clients in various sectors such as fashion​,​ mining​,​ automotives​,​ and consumer goods. Building on my experience as a trade mark administrator​,​ I was admitted as a lawyer​,​ completing a Juris Doctor with Honours from RMIT University. I have practised in commercial law​,​ commercial litigation​,​ IP litigation and private law. As a solicitor​,​ I have advised clients on matters concerning trade marks​,​ copyright infringements​,​ privacy​,​ and corporate structures. From dispute resolution to advisory work​,​ I have expanded my expertise by working with diverse companies. I was also a member of the State Executive Committee for Girl Guides Victoria for nine years. I mentored new adult leaders​,​ directed internal changes to ensure adherence to Child-Safe obligations​,​ and was a member of the sub-committee responsible for drafting and reviewing the organisation's policies​,​ constitution​,​ and by-laws. My experience in leadership and mentoring helps guide my clients in understanding their rights and achieving their objectives. I currently assist Parkside Junior Football Club with their Child-Safe responsibilities.
